Compliance Officer Monitoring & Reporting
The role
The Compliance department of APG AM is looking for a Compliance Officer for Monitoring, Reporting, and Control Room. Within the Compliance department, the monitoring process focuses on monitoring based on regulatory requirements, the level of risk attached to those and the effectiveness of control measures. This is a continuous process involving design, execution, analysis, reporting, and proposing enhancements. Outcomes of a.o. monitors performed determine the Compliance risk profile and are reported to the MB, SB and clients on a quarterly basis. The monitoring and reporting activities play a crucial role in managing Compliance risk.
What you would do
- Perform 2nd line monitoring and contribute to compliance reports, assist with control room activities.
- Contribute to the annual risk-based monitoring plan.
- Serve as a (monitoring) specialist in areas of expertise such as MiFID, AIFMD, AML, sanctions, and market abuse.
- Collaborate with team members and colleagues of other departments within APG AM and APG.
- Act as a 2nd line compliance representative to both internal and external stakeholders.
What you bring
As a Compliance Officer, you are a team player with strong analytical skills and a solution-oriented mindset. You maintain high standards for the quality of your work and possess well-developed organizational sensitivity. You show initiative and are result-oriented.
In addition, we are looking for:
- You have a degree (preferably Master) in law, accountancy, economics, finance or a related field. Next to this you are interested in digitalization and dashboards.
- 3-8 years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, preferably in asset management.
- 3-8 years of experience in compliance, risk management, or regulatory functions.
- Experience working in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- The ability to interact effectively with colleagues and managers, collaborating and representing/explaining the 2nd line perspective.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with comfort in engaging constructively with colleagues and management and working within a large organization with multiple stakeholders.
- An excellent command of the English language, both in writing and presenting.
What we offer you
We will offer you, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, a gross salary in the range of 5148 - 8473 EUR based on full-time employment and great employment conditions aimed at flexibility, such as:
