Data Office
The COO Data Office strives for a competitive edge in data delivery to have data at APG AM’s fingertips. The objective of the Data Office is to enhance APG AM's data operating model, simplify the data architecture and
leverage best practices. This does not solely aim to bring data under governance but also aims to optimize data delivery and distribution through building a shared Data Platform where both CIO-CMI, CIO-PMI and
COO can compute, transform and obtain data faster and simpler. The Data Sourcing & Distribution (DSD) team is responsible for onboarding key data domains on the data platform, distributing data, and capturing information about the available data in the Data Shop. They also monitor that the necessary data for the use cases is available in the data platform, with the key data domains as the main focus. Data Sourcing & Distribution designs and implements processes and systems to ensure that data is distributed efficiently and effectively and flows freely through the various layers to users.
The role
We are looking for a dynamic, data-driven and proactive Business Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be at the heart of driving digitalization and delivering impactful reporting and analytical products
for various clients. You will take ownership of strategic initiatives, proactively ensure the alignment of key projects with organizational goals, and lead complex, cross-functional projects. The ideal candidate is someone with strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
What you would do
You'll work closely with stakeholders within CIO and COO to understand and address their informational needs, translating these into functional and technical requirements. You are responsible for the analysis and
implementation of changes to RI methodologies, supporting systems and processes, ensuring accurate delivery of key reports and information products. As part of the BizDevOps way of working and driving the digitalization agenda forward, you'll act as a subject matter expert in the Data Products value stream and working cross-departmentally way in MDTs and Digipods, for the data products in your remit (including responsible investment data products), supporting end-to-end delivery of information solutions and handling ad-hoc requests to provide timely insights.
- Stakeholder management through proactively engaging and analyzing information needs and create or contribute to overall roadmap for data and information products.
- Act as a linking pin between the team members, Tech Office, investment desks and contribute to topics on strategic architecture and design.
- Perform large scale data & systems analysis and act as a subject matter expert in improvement projects / developments.
- Responsible to define your book of work and execute against product vision and commitments in an Agile environment
- Draft functional and technical requirements for information products, utilizing iterative prototyping for business analysis.
- Provide periodical reports and custom information products to stakeholders.
- Support the teams within Data Products Management by describing the business processes, including the organizational structures involved.
What you bring
- Degree in as econometrics / mathematics / data science or a related field (advanced degrees or certifications on financial subjects are a plus)
- Strong background in data analytics and digital transformation with at least 5-8 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Data Analyst.
- Subject matter expertise in the data domain of RI and ESG data.
- Highly developed communication skills in English.
- Business analysis or project management experience in the financial industry, ideally with background in the asset management industry.
- SQL and Python skills; Azure and/or Databricks experience desired.
- Cross-Disciplinary Thinking: Your ability to bridge different fields of expertise enables you to
- develop comprehensive solutions that anticipate challenges and address complex problems.
What we offer you
We will offer you, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, a gross salary in the range of 5148 - 7354 EUR based on full-time employment and great employment conditions aimed at flexibility, such as:
