This is going to be your job

ATTENTION BUSINESS ANALYST!
Do you want to play a key role in the data driven ambition of APG Asset Management? Than this is your chance!

This is your chance as a DevOps engineer, specialized as Business Analyst, to contribute to delivering value via Data of one of the world’s largest pension investors. APG Asset Management manages a portfolio of approximately 500 billion euros in the Netherlands.
As a giant in the asset management landscape, we offer a unique challenge of contributing to the implementation of our Data Platform, with migration into the cloud as one of our spearheads.

The role

We are currently in an interesting phase where both the new Asset Management Data Platform is being developed as well as current solutions are maintained and need to be migrated. You will be part of all those developments. In this role, you will analyse business requests and translate these needs into requirements to make data available via the Data Platform. Your responsibilities will extend beyond analysis; you will also contribute to the development of the APG AM Business Model (CDM), assist in the creation of data flows, and test the final product. Thus, you will be a crucial link in the entire process: from business request to data distribution!

You will work within the Value Stream Data Sourcing and Distribution, which is at the forefront of one of the most significant transformations within Asset Management-COO. This Value Stream is part of the newly established Data Office and collaborates with other departments within the Data Office to develop an innovative Data Platform. The team you will join is responsible for extracting data from multiple sources and distribute this data to use in business processes and business Use Cases. This all in a managed way, taking the data governance policy into account and automate as much as possible to enable other teams also to extract source data themselves in a managed way.

What you would do

  • Requirements analysis
  • Create data flows / pipelines
  • Alignment with stakeholders (business and other data teams)
  • Be part of the migration to the Cloud
  • In summary: play an important role in our data goal: “Data at your fingertips”

What you bring

You are eager to bring APG Asset Management to a higher level and unlock the potential of our data. You have great stakeholder skills and are eager to learn new techniques. You are a real team player with a good command of English and good communication skills.

Also, you have:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in a relevant field such as Economics, Information Technology, or Business Administration
  • >5 years’ experience in the field of Business Analysis (pre: within an Asset management environment)
  • Experience with analysis in a data environment
  • Experience with IT development- and testing
(pré: .Net/C#, Python, Pytest, SQL, Azure, DataBricks)
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Experience is a big plus, however, if you are eager to learn, there can be a good match too. Also, it’s a plus if you have knowledge of Cloud migrations, Azure, Data Bricks and Data Vault modelling.

What we offer you

We will offer you, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, a gross salary in the range of euro 5.400,- 7.600,- based on full-time employment and great employment conditions aimed at flexibility, such as:

  • A guaranteed end of year bonus of 8.33%
  • Attention to your vitality and personal development
  • Possibility to work from home 2-3 days per week
  • And obviously a well-managed pension
