Nominate a candidate in May or June via the referral site. This way, you're not only helping APG potentially find an excellent new colleague, but you're also entering for a chance to win the unique game KUBB. A game that fosters connections among family and friends and is easy to take to the park or on vacation.

Referral, or recommending someone for a job at APG, is easy to do online via the referral page. Your candidate will then receive an email with a link to the job(s) you've selected. If your candidate actually applies to APG, you automatically enter the draw for the KUBB family game. Not just any standard version, but a special edition for APG.

KUBB?
KUBB is a game where precision and strategy play a significant role. Two teams compete against each other, aiming to knock down all the blocks (kubbs) of the opposing team. Once done, you can aim for the king in the middle of the playing field. Knocking that down as well means you've won! The key elements of this game are precision, concentration, and certainly team spirit.

From September 28 to October 12, Referral Festival The Connection took place at APG. Festival wristbands were distributed with which colleagues could patricipate in The Connection Challenge. Furthermore, colleagues could attend referral workshops. Patric and Irene won the Challenge and took home the prize.

"I have referred three acquaintances to the organization. Before I introduced them, I had extensive conversations with them to talk about APG. For questions I couldn’t answer, such as specific details about the position, I referred them to the People Manager for further information. This way, they got a complete picture of the organization. I found that everyone within the organization is willing to help and open to having an informative conversation with a potential colleague.

So my tip in a nutshell: invite someone out for a cup of coffee. It’s always a win-win situation. Perhaps it won't immediately result in a new colleague, but it plants a seed for the future.”

“It’s definitely helpful if you know that someone in your network is looking for a new job. But most importantly, ask what exactly they are looking for. I could think from my APG perspective: this person is interesting for this department. But through our conversation, I knew what my former neighbor Anna was interested in. Now she is my colleague.”

Your ex-colleague you had a drink with lately. Your friend who's looking for a new challenge. A parent at school. Your cousin who recently graduated...

Don't forget to get permission to share your candidates name and e-mail address with APG.

After submitting the referral form, your connection receives an e-mail. Your candidate needs to use the vacancy link provided in this e-mail to apply. Otherwise it's not possible to connect you (referrer) to your candidate (referral)..

Did you refer someone, making use of the new referral form? Then you receive a free lunch in one of the company restaurants in Heerlen or Amsterdam. Enjoy your lunch!

The bonus amount is EUR 2.000 gross.

Name and e-mail address of referred candidates will be stored for 6 months to be able to connect the referrer and the referral candidate, and to start the reward process. After 6 months the data will be deleted automatically.

All APG colleagues, employed and contracted, can participate in The Connection Referral Program, on condition that you have an APG (AM) email address. The referral bonus can only be paid to APG employees. The lunch voucher is applicable to all APG colleagues. 

It can take up to one day for a vacancy to be visible in the drop-down menu of the online referral form.

You can only submit candidates for vacancies that are listed in the vacancy overview on the career website werkenbijapg.nl
