The role
Within Finance, the Business Control department is responsible for developing, implementing and advising economic policy regarding APG Asset Management and/or clients (mostly pension funds). As a department we enable financial accountability and business-oriented management. Through this, we ensure the continuity of our business unit and the achievement of the business objectives set.
As an intern in Finance, you will be involved in all aspects of the Finance and Control profession. You will work on monthly reports and performance management for the management board, you will work on periodic Activity Based Costing analyses and you will help controllers with testing and analyzing business cases and drawing up financial insight and policy. You will also contribute to the development and improvement of processes in the field of data visualization and automation of reporting processes.
The theory, gained at university, can be converted into practical experience within a large and leading asset management company in the Netherlands and is of added value on your CV. This will lay the foundation for a successful career in the financial world by gaining practical experience.
What you would do
The assignment will be created together with you. We face various challenges where a fresh perspective would be very welcome. Graduation internship assignments on Finance, Controlling and Business Analytics would align with our needs.
What you bring
- You follow a study (3/4 years) in the direction of Finance, Controlling, Economics, Business or Data Science.
- You are eager to learn.
- You have good analytical skills.
- You are a team player, but you can also work independently.
- You bring a fresh perspective, think outside the box, and proactively take responsibility.
- You have experience with and/or affinity with data tooling, such as Power BI or SQL.

- Gross salary of maximum € 650 per month for a workweek of 38 hours.
