Testers are embedded throughout APG’s IT organization. We have front-end testers, back-end testers and infrastructure testers. Some are technically oriented, while others focus on processes.
Despite these differences, there are also clear similarities. No matter where you work as a tester at APG, you’ll follow a test strategy, a clear planning process, and a structured way of working. Every quarter, we conduct PI (Program Increment) planning to determine what will be tackled in the upcoming quarter.
Your opinion matters, just like the opinions of your colleagues in the DevOps team you’re part of. It’s not the Product Owner who decides what you’ll do, you decide together. And that approach brings focus.
To be successful as a tester at APG, you need to be comfortable with uncertainty. You won’t always know in advance how to set up your tests, and you need to enjoy gathering the right information to make it work.
Test Tooling
Across the organization, we use a variety of test tools, including (but not limited to):
Cucumber, Postman, and ALM Octane.
