Pricing & Valuation (Data) Officer
The role
Within APG Asset Management Operations, the pricing and valuation team is part of the Master Data Management department and is responsible for the centralized sourcing, calculation, validation and distribution of prices across different platforms in the value chain. An important part of this responsibility is to ensure that these prices, including the in-house built and/or maintained model valuations, are a proper reflection of the fair valuation of the instruments in our portfolios. The team consists out of multiple data domains and is multi international.
Please note, this role demands flexibility in working hours. You and your colleagues work in different shifts which include a morning shift (starts 6:30 AM), a regular day shift (starts 9.00 AM) and an evening shift (ends 18:00/18:30 PM). The planning is coordinated among each other.
What you would do
- Maintain and improve the pricing and valuation process in line with best market practices;
- Continuous optimization of processes and tooling;
- Stakeholder management (in- and outside of the pricing governance) to enable change with a focus on controlled onboarding of changes in the daily operations;
- Steer business- and data analysts to formulate requirements and user tests to improve data management tooling (MarketEDM) and enabling change;
- Support periodical in- and external audit cycles.
Complementary tasks could be:
- Maintaining KPI reports and other management information decks;
- Support of the NAV calculation department in providing insight into the market value development on derivatives products with respect to trial balance price mutations;
- Support on other related data domains within the Data Management department.
What you bring
We are looking for someone who:
- Can dive into details without losing sight of the bigger picture, are customer and quality oriented;
- Has good communication skills and are a solid conversation partner;
- Possess persuasiveness and are result-oriented;
- Likes to be in the center of the action and a dynamic environment brings out the best in you.
And someone who meets the next requirements:
- Relevant HBO/academic study, preferably in Business Economics, Financial Economics, Quantitative finance, or Econometrics;
- A minimum of 1-2 years relevant working experience;
- Knowledge of MS Office including Excel, VBA, SQL;
- Knowledge of financial instruments;
- Good communication skills;
- Excellent English language skills;
- Proactive, result driven, analytical, team player, hands-on, client and service oriented;
- Affinity with administrative organization and systems;
- Affinity with complex automated systems.
- CFA (charter holder) is a pre;
- Knowledge of programming languages such as VBA or Python is a pre.
What we offer you
We will offer you a full-time position in function level Associate 1 or Associate 2, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, with a gross salary in the range of 3528 - 5671 EUR based on full-time employment and great employment conditions aimed at flexibility, such as:
