Within our Cash & Collatoral team we have a job opening Officer | Cash & Collateral Management.
The role
You’ll be part of the Operations team – the beating heart of APG Asset Management – where risk management and regulatory compliance are key. Together, we ensure the smooth execution and monitoring of all payments (cash management) and coordinate the use of collateral to mitigate risks in financial transactions (collateral management).
We believe in personal growth. That’s why you’ll gain a thorough understanding of both cash and collateral management operational tasks, making you able to contribute across multiple areas. In this role, you’ll also have the opportunity to further develop your coaching skills by guiding junior colleagues.
You’ll work closely with various departments within APG and with back offices of international financial institutions. In doing so, you’ll take into account strict deadlines, such as cut-off times and stock market opening hours.
What you would do
- Take the lead in incident management and represent the team in various cross-functional projects within Operations, ensuring our interests are well represented.
- Coach junior colleagues and foster a culture of high quality.
- Be involved in operational tasks such as account reconciliation, preparing cash forecasts, and processing margin calls.
- Collaborate with colleagues on improvement projects outside of daily operations, focusing on optimizing processes, procedures, and systems.
- Within the team, we value diversity and an open culture. We share ideas, work together toward common goals, and support each other in both professional and personal development.
We offer an inclusive working environment with room for flexibility. After a thorough onboarding, you’ll be able to work partly from home, alongside your presence at our office in Heerlen.
What you bring
- A bachelor’s degree, preferably in economics or finance. Do you have a different background but affinity with our field? We warmly invite you to apply.
- At least 5 years of experience in a financial process role (such as treasury, reporting, and/or operations), where you’ve demonstrably taken on increasing responsibility in terms of volume and complexity. Ideally, this is your second or third career step.
- Experience in coaching colleagues.
- Strong skills in planning and prioritizing your work. A solid foundation in agile project management.
- An independent, creative, and solution-oriented mindset. You’re able to come up with various scenarios and solutions independently when facing challenges.
- Strong command of the English language and the ability to communicate your ideas clearly and convincingly.
What we offer you
We will offer you, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, a gross salary in scale 9, in the range of 4500 - 6433 EUR based on full-time employment (40 hours) and great employment conditions aimed at flexibility, such as:
- A guaranteed end of year bonus of 8.33%
- Attention to your vitality and personal development
- Possibility to work from home 2-3 days per week
- And obviously a well-managed pension
