DevOps Engineer - Focus on Cloud and Operations

The role
The Orchestration and Integration (O&I) department within APG Asset Management’s COO domain is dedicated to driving the organization’s purpose and vision. As a key contributor to the strategic pillars of Digitalization and People & Culture, O&I aims to deliver seamless, coherent, and sustainable IT experiences. To further this mission, we are seeking a skilled Integration DevOps Engineer to join our Application Integration team.
In this role, your primary focus will be on supporting integration solutions within a highly complex and diverse integration landscape. You will collaborate with a dynamic team to ensure operational excellence, resolve incidents, and contribute to the ongoing optimization of our integration environment.
What you would do
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Support: Monitor and support a sophisticated integration landscape, ensuring seamless operation.
- Incident Management: Handle technical and functional incidents, including on-call support as required.
- Life Cycle Management: Manage and maintain the integration landscape to ensure long-term sustainability.
- Automation:
- Enhance the CI/CD pipeline using tools like Maven and Azure DevOps.
- Automate monitoring processes by designing and implementing monitoring rules (e.g., Hawk rules) and visualizing operational data through an ELK stack.
- Deployment & Access Management:
- Lead or contribute to User Stories/Features that impact operations and CI/CD tasks.
- Oversee authorization and access management, safeguarding Segregation of Duties (SoD) on applications managed by the Integration team.
- Cloud and future proofing :
- Stay abreast of the latest integration trends, Cloud and Azure updates, and emerging technologies, and incorporate them into our DevOps way of working.
- Help and learn in moving the integration stack into a cloud-enabled solution, build up expertise in various cloud technologies such TIBCO Cloudbased solutions, cloud-based messaging and API management, Azure Cloud based solutions (e.g. Azure Kubernetes Service, Azure Data Factory,…), ELK monitoring and visualization, and streaming platforms like Apache Kafka and Pulsar.
What you bring
As a DevOps Engineer with a focus on Integration, you excel in problem-solving and thrive in a service-oriented environment. You are proactive, take ownership, and balance a pragmatic approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. You are eager to further develop or broaden your T-shaped skillset.
Requirements:
- A higher professional degree in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with the responsibilities outlined above.
- Familiarity with integration frameworks like TIBCO Integration stack technologies (Business Works 5/6/CE, EMS, Hawk,…), SQL Server SSIS and technology stacks such as Angular, Node.js, NoSQL solutions (e.g., MarkLogic) and the ELK stack.
- Solid knowledge of Linux operating systems.
- Cloud awareness: experience in Azure Cloud, Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes…).
- Proficiency in English with highly developed communication skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Preferably, knowledge of and experience in Asset Management.
What we offer you
We will offer you, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, a gross salary in the range of 5000 - 7000 EUR based on full-time employment and great employment conditions aimed at flexibility, such as:
