The role

Within the department of Data Sourcing and Distribution (DSD), part of Data Office COO at APG Asset Management, we are looking for an Azure Cloud Support Engineer for the Data Platform Team. The Data Platform Team is tasked with several functions: enable ingestion patterns to facilitate downstream teams to source data from both internal and external sources, streamline the storage of the data, manage access to data, and enable client applications to consume it.
In this role, your primary focus will be on supporting, troubleshooting, and optimizing cloud-based solutions hosted on Microsoft Azure. You will work closely with the development team to ensure availability, performance, and reliability of our cloud platform while assisting end-users and stakeholders with operational activities.

 

What you would do

• Provide users access to Data in Data Platform to via Unity Catalog access grants.
• Manage Azure Active Directory, RBAC, Service Principles and Identity/Access requests.
• Monitor and maintain the health, availability, and performance of Azure resources using tools such as Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
• Troubleshoot and resolve incidents, service requests, and escalations related to Azure infrastructure and applications.
• Implement and maintain Azure governance, security, and compliance policies.

 

What you bring

As an Azure Cloud Support Engineer, you excel in problem-solving and thrive in a service-oriented environment. You are proactive, take ownership, and balance a pragmatic approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions. You are eager to further develop or broaden your T-shaped skillset.

Requirements:
• A higher professional degree in IT, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with the responsibilities outlined above.
• Strong knowledge of Azure services like Azure Active Directory (Entra ID), Access Controls like RBAC, ABAC.
• Knowledge on Databricks and Unity Catalog.
• Knowledge in Identity and Access Management and ITIL-processes
• Well-versed with project/incident management tools like Service Now, Jira.

Preferred Qualifications
• Microsoft Certified: MS Certified Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104)(Desirable)
• Experience with DevOps tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Exposure to cloud or hybrid environments (Azure).
• Automation experience with Terraform, Python, Bicep or ARM Templates, or any scripting language.

 

What we offer you

We will offer you, depending on relevant knowledge and experience, a gross salary in the range of 4503,- to 6433,- euro per month based on full-time employment and great employment conditions aimed at flexibility, such as:
