FAQ The Connection Challenge

APG employees who picked up their festival wristbands on Sept. 28 have more time to collect 10 connections than colleagues who picked up their festival bands Oct. 5. Is that fair?

We deliberately kept the minimum number of connections you have to make low, so that even colleagues who start the Challenge at a later point of time still have enough time to reach the goal. Moreover, you can also participate without a festival wristband. After all, you can also make connections on LinkedIn without a festival band.

I don't have a LinkedIn account, what to do?

Without a LinkedIn account you cannot participate in the Challenge. There is always the possibility to create a LinkedIn profile, possibly with the help of an APG colleague. Unfortunately we don't have a unique QR code for you, but you can pick up a festival wristband without a unique QR code at the registration desks in Heerlen and Edge West. Participation in the Challenge is also possible without a wristband / QR code.

My QR code doesn't function well, or is not available. What to do?

We did our very best to make a personal QR-code for everybody. It can happen that the QR-code doesn't reach the right person or the QR-code doesn't work. We then request to look up each other via LinkedIn and add each other so you can join the Challenge. Unfortunately, we can no longer create or modify QR codes anymore.

Is it allowed yo create personal QR codes of LinkedIn profiles?

We use public information that can simply be found online through search engines. Your profile is public and you have stated on your profile that you work at APG. You have given LinkedIn permission to make this information public. You can adjust your LinkedIn settings if you don't want this. QR codes that are not retrieved will be destroyed after the end of the Challenge.

What's the link between the APG referral program and the Challenge?

When your LinkedIn network grows, you know more people who might be interested in a job opening at APG. When the networks of our colleague grow, the reach and visibility of APG as an employer to the outside world also grows. As an employer it is important to be able to tell our story and to share our vacancies.

Connecting with our own colleagues draws attention to the power of your internal network. And is a serious prelude to think of who you can add to your network outside your APG network. During The Connection referral workshops you'll be given tips and trics to expand your outside APG netwrork
