This is going to be your job

APG Asset Management has started the Digitalization Initiative to make the Data and IT Foundation environment futureproof.

In this role you will act as an Information Risk & Security Officer to support the APG Asset Management business and DevOps Teams to fulfill secure solutions on both the business as usual operation and the APG Asset Management IT Foundation in the Digitalization initiative.. As such, you define security standards, policies, procedures and controls within this domain fully in compliance with AM’s risk appetite and alignment with 2nd line risk management and 1st line security operation (APG ICT).

Key responsibilities
  • Supporting Asset Management from an information risk & security perspective.
  • Defining and implementing (data) security frameworks & policies.
  • Develop and implement additional (data) security requirements, guidelines.
  • Collaborate with various parties, including Enterprise Risk Management, Enterprise Architecture, Compliance & Privacy.

This is what you offer

  • Master degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in information security risk management.
  • Proven IT background and security architecture knowledge.
  • Proven experience with data security.
  • Experience with Identity & Access Management principles.
  • Knowledge of market practice rules & regulations and impact.
  • Security certifications like CISSP, CRISC and CISM.
  • Familiar with the Agile way of working.
Personal skills
  • You have the ability to lead, influence, and negotiate without authority.
  • You are capable of implementing innovative technologies in current products, applications or services.
  • You have a business enabling security attitude.
  • Strong analytical skills in combination with common sense.
  • With you strong analytical skills you have the ability to identify risks, translate risks, threats, and vulnerabilities to business level and to advice on risk mitigation.
  • You can deal with resistance and risk appetite;
  • You have proficient verbal and written communication skills in English (preferably also in Dutch).
  • You have strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Highly motivated and taking ownership/responsibility.
For this position we are seeking candidates who already work and live in the Netherlands.
