As an IT-Compliance/Data Privacy Officer, you help ensure that APG maintains its good and reliable reputation and are responsible for the timely identification and analysis of compliance and privacy risks and for monitoring internal and external developments relevant to compliance and awareness.

At APG you will be working at the Privacy Office in the Resilience & Enterprise Architecture (R&EA) department in a team of 24 professionals. R&EA is responsible for aspects including information security, enterprise architecture, and IT compliance & privacy risk.

If managing IT risks is your thing, then this is the team for you! You will be located in Amsterdam or Heerlen.

Your field of work is broad and varied. Your tasks include:

  • Carrying out IT compliance and Data Privacy activities, such as analyzing, translating information into policies and procedures, applying and implementing regulations that are relevant to financial institutions (e.g. with respect to GDPR, information security, outsourcing), identifying risks, monitoring and supervising implementation
  • Advising the business
  • Keeping track of developments in relevant laws and regulations and IT developments
  • Answering questions/inquiries of supervisors and APG clients.

It will go without saying that as an IT Compliance and Data Privacy Officer you focus on cooperation and have no difficulty connecting with colleagues and customers. You have good communication skills and an excellent writing style and are accustomed to communicating at various levels. You are also analytical, professionally critical, have good judgment, independent and sufficiently persuasive.

We also ask for:

  • A relevant Higher Professional Education/university degree;
  • A completed IT audit, Legal, Compliance and/or Privacy training course or willingness to take one;
  • At least 4-8 years of relevant work experience;
  • Knowledge of the Pensions Act, General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and/or Financial Supervision Act (WFT) is an advantage;
  • You have preferably gained your experience in the financial sector, or as a consultant in which you got to know the sector or with one of the financial supervisors.
